Does your structured data say "out of stock" for product availability? Are your products being displayed as "out of stock" on search results?
Don't worry, we can help you solve this problem!
Google rolled out a structured data change in May 2019.
Google updates their structured data code and requirements 3-4x a year, and so we update our code accordingly.
Please note we have added an advanced feature to our JSON-ld code which can help with inventory control.
1.) On the dashboard, click on "Structured Data" and scroll down to where it says "Advanced Controls"
2.) If you don’t use Shopify to manage inventory, please select "Ignore inventory levels, mark all products as in-stock"
After this selection has been made, we will automatically update your structured data to reflect these changes.
We recommend submitting your XML sitemap to Google Search Console which helps speed up the process of Google seeing these changes.
Google will need to first visit your website, crawl and index your pages, and then these new changes can be shown on search results.
It can take Google anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks to re-index pages so make sure to be patient.
Now you can easily report your inventory availability to Google and the
correct information will be displayed on search results.
